Eucharistic Sing with John Burland
On Monday 1st July, 15 members of the choir were lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, to take part in a 'Eucharistic Singing' event with lots of other schools from Liverpool Archdiocese. The children had been practicing a selection of songs by John Burland- a man whose songs we listen to regularly in school as part of our Collective Worships and RE lessons. They were absolutely thrilled therefore, to find out that the man himself was there to co-ordinate the entire event!
The children sang and behaved impeccably, and even had the opportunity to go to the chapel to be still and reflect. Overall, it was a very successful afternoon, which they all thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you to those who came!
