Birchley's Busy Bees Playgroup
We are delighted to announce that our Busy Bee's Playgroup is now OPEN!!!
ALL WELCOME!!!
Our playgroup aims to be a fun-filled, community group in Billinge, where all babies through to pre-school aged children are welcome to come along with their grown-ups. We think children and their grown-ups in this area, deserve a friendly group that they can come along to and feel a part of our school community. We welcome everyone so there is no requirement to have a connection to St.Mary's Birchley Primary School or the church.
We are open every Monday during term-time and we operate a pay-as-you-go system. Whilst we would love to see you all every week, we understand that life gets busy and this is not always possible. Our sessions cost £1.50 per child, which includes a drink, snack and a hot drink for the grown-ups!

What our sessions look like...
BABY AREA
A dedicated baby mat with age appropriate toys. We have activity boxes, walkers, books, noisy and light up toys. All toys are aimed at stimiluating and developing your child at whatever stage they're at.
We also have volunteers readily available to play with and hold your babies when you need that all important brew break!!
ARTS AND CRAFTS
A space to do arts and crafts with your grown-up and under the guidance of one of our volunteers.
Each week has it's own theme and our craft activities are based on the theme of the week. You can also draw and colour anything you like too. We love to see a child's imagination and creativity at work so their own ideas are definitely encouraged.
MESSY PLAY
Messy play in the tuff tray. It's great to explore with your hands and feet!

TOYS FOR EVERYONE
A variety of toys that are accessible throughout each session.

REFRESHMENTS AND SNACK TIME
Hot drinks for the grown ups are available throughout the sessions (included in the cost). The children have juice/water with biscuits in their own snack pouch at 10am.
TIDY UP TIME
At the end of each session we tidy up together, giving all our toys have a home and promoting independance, responsibilitiy and a sense of pride for each child. Lots of children enjoy this time more than you think! They do a gret job and enjoy the praise we give to them. We can't promise that this will transfer to "tidy up time" at home though!!
SONG TIME TOGETHER
At the end of every session, we all sit together on the mats to sing our favourite nursery rhymes. We do all the actions whilst sometimes using bells, shakers and even a guitar too! This is a special way to close our sessions that everyone seems to enjoy!
Its then time to put on our coats to go home with our grown up and take the craft that we have made. Lots of children look forward to coming back next week and so do we!
