Friday 8th May

Date: 8th May 2020 @ 10:00am

Good Morning, children!

Well, it's Friday! It's a bank holiday! It's the 75th anniversary of VE Day! It's a great day to celebrate and have some fun. Hopefully the sun will come out later- it's looking a little dull and dreary at the moment!

I hope your VE Day celebrations are enjoyable and that you get lots of photographs that I can see. Have a great day and don't forget to take a moment to think about why we celebrate today.

Today is the final day for your gratitude project. Here is my entry:

Mrs Naylor Gratitude Journal Entry - Friday 8th May

1. Today, I am feeling relaxed and a little bit achy (me and some of the Year 6 girls did some planking in school yesterday and I'm feeling the effects today!)

2. I am grateful for my dog, Charlie. He is a little ray of sunshine who always makes me laugh. I am also grateful for after sun as I got a little bit sunburnt yesterday! Whoops! Finally, I am grateful for my family- I am lucky to be able to have people around me during lockdown so I can chat to them and pass the time by playing some games and watching TV with them.

3. My goal yesterday was to plan ahead so I had something to look forward to after lockdown had ended. I definitely achieved this goal, as my husband and I have decided to have a trip to Southport and I have agreed to have a shopping and lunch date with my mum. Today, my goal is to relax and enjoy the celebrations.

Once again, I hope you have a wonderful VE Day and a lovely weekend. I will be in touch again on Monday.

Stay safe and keep smiling!
