An afternoon in Space!

Lesson: Topic

Class: Year 2 Year: 2018 - 2019

We had great fun today travelling into Space. We saw the different planets on our way to the Moon. When we arrived, we went on an ‘alien’ hunt where we came across some very slimy extraterrestrials! They were quite friendly though and even laid some special chocolate alien eggs especially for us. We enjoyed sampling astronaut food- including freeze-dried strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and apples. We especially liked trying the freeze-dried ice cream! We enjoyed reading the story, ‘Back to Earth with a Bump’ about a little boy who goes on an adventure to find where the Sun has gone and we wrote special postcards for our families back home. We are very tired after our mission today and are glad to be back on Planet Earth ready for the Easter holidays!
