Reception Class 2016 - 17
Welcome to Reception Class!
Make sure you regularly check out our Gallery to catch a glimpse of all the amazing learning going on in our class every day.
Don't forget to head over to our Class Blog! It is updated every Friday. This is a great way for us to share all of our weekly learning with you. Here you will also find out about Reception news, class events etc.
We are super busy in Reception so here's a few things to remember…
We try to read with the children as much as possible so please send reading books and reading records to school every day.
Please refer to the links below; the Phonics Workshop notes and suggested Reading Record Comments. Both resources will help you to support your child's reading at home.
- Water bottles
The children have access to water all day.
To avoid books getting ruined, please ensure water bottles are carried separately to bookbags!
The cost for snack is £1.50 a week. This should be sent into school on Mondays in a named envelope. Alternatively, you can pay this termly. You can find out further details at the school office.
- All home readers are changed.
Children must have their PE kits in school at all times. PE kits will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed. Please return kits on the first day back to school.
- Home activity books are collected.
Please ensure your child brings their home activity book into school on this day so that they can be updated with new activities.
Our library system will only allow two books to be on loan at a time. If your child already has two books on loan, unfortunately they will be unable to choose a new one.
- Home activity books are sent home.
These activities will link to the work that your child has been doing that week and will reinforce their learning.
You can either pay £2 each term or £6 for the year.
This is a payment of £10 per family which we pay to Liverpool Archdiocese.
