Reception Class 2017 - 2018

Miss Davies

Miss Parr

Welcome to Reception Class!

Our teacher is Miss Davies and our teaching assistant is Miss Parr.

Make sure you head over to our Class Blog! It is updated every Friday. This is a great way for us to share all of our weekly learning with you. Here you will also find out about class events, reminders etc.

We are super busy in Reception so here's a few things to remember.

Everyday, please send...

Bookbags

Reading books, reading records and tricky word books should be kept in your child’s bookbag at all times.

Please refer to the links below; the 'Phonics Workshop' notes and suggested 'Reading Record Comments'. Both resources will help you to support your child's reading at home.

Wallets

Any letters or money should be send to school in your child's wallet. They will be checked everyday. Please send even if they are empty.

Water bottles

The children have access to water all day. To avoid books getting ruined, please ensure water bottles are carried separately to bookbags!

On Monday, please send...

Snack money

The cost for snack is £1.50 a week. This should be sent into school in a named envelope and kept inside your child’s wallet. Alternatively, you can pay this termly (you can find out the exact amount for this at the school office).

**New home readers are also sent home on this day

On Thursday, please send...

Home activity books

They will be updated with new activities.

**We also have PE on this day

PE kits will be kept in school and will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed. Please return kits on the first day back to schoo

On Friday, please send...

Library books

They will be changed today.

Our library system will only allow two books to be on loan at a time. If your child already has two books on loan, unfortunately they will be unable to choose a new one.

**Home activity books and new tricky words are also sent home on this day

These activities will link to the work that your child has been doing that week and will reinforce their learning.

Termly

Milk money

You can either pay £2 each term or £6 for the year.

Annually

School Levy

This is a payment of £10 per family which we pay to Liverpool Archdiocese.
