Year 2 A Big Welcome

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to the Autumn Term in Y2.  We've had a lovely couple of days, sharing our news and catching up with our friends.  Thank you to all those children who shared their "Get Caught Reading" summer holiday pictures.  They are on display in our library.

Come and See

We have been discussing "New Beginnings" and how they make us feel.  We imagined a telephone conversation we might have with someone telling them about our experiences and feelings.

Mission Statement and Core Values

We spent some time talking about what our Mission Statement means to us and how important it is when we are trying to "BE THE BEST WE CAN BE."  We enjoyed creating some posters exploring our Core Values: Respect, Passion, Creativity, Intergrity and Nurture.  After this we looked at what are British Values and how they link to our Core Values.  We wnjoyed colouring some flags.

Mrs Ryan introduced our new topic "Passport to the World" - see the link on our class web page.

Oh and the quiet critters have been out and about in our class this week.  Next week we are going to meet some of their friends!
