Tuesday 24th March

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 8:20am

Good morning year 4!

Home learning day 2 is here.

I hope you all had a good day yesterday and spent some time looking at your home learning packs and exploring times tables rock stars. I logged on yesterday and can see that some of you have been practising your times tables and have already achieved some amazing scores! Keep practising, and if you have not yet logged on to times tables rock stars try and log on today. It's good fun and a great way to practise your times tables - you can even challenge teachers to a battle!

Our times tables superstars yesterday were Joshua M and Iris  - congratulations and keep up the good work!

It is important to stay active while you are at home. One way you can do this is to take part in Joe Wicks PE lessons every day at 9am. Search for P.E. with Joe on YouTube to take part (If you click on the image below it should take you to his YouTube channel). Joe Wicks also has a series of videos aimed at keeping children active that are available on his YouTube channel (The Body Coach TV) called Kids Workouts To Do At Home.

Try to complete at least 2 pages of your maths and english booklets every day.

Keep reading every day using Serial Mash or your home readers and complete a chapter summary at the end of each chapter.

For the David Walliams fans in year 4 (I think that is most of you!) at 11am each day for the next 30 days he is releasing an audio story from the World's Worst Children for you to listen to. Each story is about 20 minutes long and is a good opportunity to take a break and enjoy a story. To listen to these stories go to https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/ then search for elevenses (If you click on the image it should take you to the website). When you click on the link it will take you to the story of the day.

Keep working hard but remember to take some time to have fun and do some exercise.

I'll be back tomorrow,
