Tuesday 21st April Home School

Date: 21st Apr 2020 @ 8:36am

Good morning everyone,

Well done to all those children working on all the Education City and Purple Mash tasks set for you this week.  Remember it is the Homework MyCity tasks that you should be working on first as these are set just for you!

I have had a look on the BBC Bitesize at today's lessons.  They should all be really easy for us Y2 because we have already covered the content so these lessons will be great for extra practice.  In the literacy daily lesson it is all about writing questions, we are all very good at this.  The maths lesson is counting in 2's 3's and 5's, practice counting in 3's is probably the most challenging!  The geography lesson looks at the countries in the UK, we looked in some detail at the UK in the Autumn term so you will all be a whizz with this activity!  Its definitely worth taking a look at this website.

As a class we were hoping to visit Knowsley Safari Park but with things being what they are we (sadly) might not get to visit the park in person, However... there is a fabulous virtual tour around the park with some brilliant videos and home learning tasks.  Our topic this term is "Hot and Cold" and part of our writing focus is to write some fact sheets about African animals.  There is so much to help with this if you go onto the Knowsley Safari Park website, I enjoyed learning all about the giraffes!  Have fun!

Take care, have fun, enjoy the sunshine,

Mrs TDsmiley
