Good morning year 4!

Well, day 4 of home learning has arrived. I hope lots of you were able to spend time outside yesterday enjoying the lovely weather and getting some fresh air and exercise.

I hope you are all enjoying the book you have chosen to read, whether it is from Serial Mash or one of your home readers, and are completing your chapter summaries each time you read. When you complete your book remember to complete the book review in your pack. When we are back in school we could share these with each other and spend some time recommending books to our friends.

Each day lots of you are logging on to times tables rock stars and I can see that you are achieving some amazing scores. Congratulations to Maya who was yesterday’s times tables superstar! I have challenged you all to a times tables battle - can anyone beat me?

There are still a few people who haven't been on times tables rock stars yet, please make sure you are logging on and practising. I'm sure most of the class would agree with me that it is a great way to practise your times tables and is really fun too!

Well done to those of you who have completed the Purple Mash activities - don't forget about the english activity as well as the maths one. Keep working on a couple of pages from your home learning packs each day too.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Romans projects when you return to school, I hope you have all started to research and plan these. Here are a few websites which might help you find some interesting information:

  • https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zwmpfg8
  • https://www.ducksters.com/history/ancient_rome.php

For any Strictly Come Dancing fans Oti Mabuse is putting daily dance classes on her YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/user/mosetsanagape/videos). These are another great way of keeping active along with the Joe Wicks PE sessions.

Keep working hard and enjoy the sunny weather while it lasts!

I'll talk to you again tomorrow,

Miss Gradwell
