Reception News - Friday 28th Janurary

Hello everyone,

Since returning to school we have started our new theme All around me. Throughout this theme we have been learning about where we live, where our school is and types of homes. As we head towards Spring we will be exploring minibeasts and thier habitiats and growth. 

Our focus story this week was Aaaargh Spider! By Lydia Monks. We have been finding out information about different minibeasts we might find in our garden and where to look for them. 

Phonics

We have been working hard in phonics to consolidate our phonic knowledge after the Christmas break. But now it's time to move on to Phase 3. This week we have learned some new sounds. Please encourage your child to complete the letter formation sheets sent home tonight.

Spare clothes and underwear

If your child has borrowed any spare clothes/underwear/socks from school, please could you return them ASAP. We are really short despite only purchasing some new underwear a couple of weeks ago. 

If you find that your child frequently needs spare clothing, please ensure a spare set of socks/underwear and pants are sent into school.

We have released a huge amount of observations today. There appeared to be several observations that hadnt been released - huge apologies! Hopefully this has been fixed.

Panto Day
