Home Learning Week 5 - Monday

Note to parents - A new Set 2 Speed Sounds lesson is available at 10.00 am, Monday to Friday.
Children can also watch Set 2 Spelling at 10.15 am.
Each lesson is ten to fifteen minutes long and available for 24 hours.
*If your child is finding Set 2 Sounds challenging, try practising Set 1 sounds. Set 1 Sounds and Spellings are released daily at the same time.
*If your child is confident with Set 2 Sounds, try practising Set 3 Sounds. Set 3 Sounds and Spellings are realeased daily, at the same time.
Don’t worry if you miss a lesson. Once the whole set has been shown, we will replay one lesson a day.

Book of The Week

What did you think about the story? Did you enjoy it? What was your favourite part? What do you think is going to happen next?
What kind of magic seeds would you grow in your garden? What would happen when the seeds began to grow?
Can you draw a picture and write a sentence to describe your magic seeds?
Remember to use your 'robot arms' to help you hear all the sounds you need to write. Get ready to chop those sentences and count how many words you need to write too.
This Weeks Writing Acitivity
I need your help Reception! I have a packet of magic seeds, but I have forgotten how to plant them. Can you help me? Do you think you could write some instructions to tell me how to plant my seeds? If you could, that would be amazing. Think about what you did when you planted your sunflower seeds, that should help you.

Can you write the number? Can you count 18 objects? Can you split 18 objects into 2 groups? One group of 10 and one group of 8? (18 is 10 and 8)
