Home Learning Wednesday 10th June

Date: 9th Jun 2020 @ 6:02pm

Hello Year 3. ( I am so sorry that the blog went up late. I thought I had made the blog active and I hadn't. crying)

Tis Mrs Hymers here again laugh Are you sick of hearing from me every day! Well the good news is that we're half way through the week now - only 2 more days left til the weekend cheeky and then you can have a break from me.

How did you get on with the Science work yesterday? If you didn't manage to do the work, why not have a go today.

Did you try the two reading comprehension activities? Again - if not - have a look at them today. They won't take you long - I promise.

Bitesize Home Learning:

Maths: We are continuing with Equivalent Fractions again today. You'll be experts by the time the week is over. You will learn how to use multiplication and division to make equivalent fractions. It's those dreaded times tables again ! Can you now see how important they are!

Literacy: This lesson teaches you how to use a thesaurus to improve your word choices. Using adventurous vocabularly is a great way to improve your writing - for example instead of saying I'm hungry - starving would be a better word choice - or even better still -  how about ravenous? A thesaurus will help you to find better words.

If you enjoyed this task, I've attached two other thesaurus activities to the blog for you.

Science: The Science lesson today is all about the different types of energy that we use. We don't really learn much about this at school, but it is very interesting. If you enjoy drawing, one of the tasks is to make a poster all about the different types of energy we use. If you do create a poster, take a photograph and send it to me for our class blog. If you enjoyed finding out about the different types of energy, I've attached a word search to the blog for you to have a go at.

Gentle Reminder Time:

  • Read every day for half an hour
  • 15 mins on times tables
  • Start, add to - or improve your Greek project. I am looking forward to seeing them all when you return to school.

AND FINALLY

A MASSSIVE SHOUT OUT TO ANNABEL who has zoomed up the Rock Stars' Leaderboard today and is now just beind Evan in the Year 3 race to the top. I'm really pleased with you Annabel and it's one more girl to challenge the boys. Come on girls!    Boys - are you going to let them beat you ! angry

AND FINALLY FINALLY
