Home Learning Friday 19th June

Date: 18th Jun 2020 @ 7:31pm

Last day of work today children - the weekend is nearly here!

I want to start the blog with a Times Tables Rock Stars update:

Yesterday, for the first time, the girls ended the day in first place. I am so impressed with your fighting spirit girls. I can't believe that the five of you are taking the boys on and are determined to win. A great big well done to Sophia, Heidi, Annabel, Addie and Isla L.  The girls have scored 3142, whilst the boys are at 3062. The tournament ends at 12.00 today. Can the girls stay in front or will the boys end up the victors?

Shout out to Harrison, who has completed the timeline activity. I've attached Harrison's work to the blog for you all to see.  yes yes

Shout out to Harrywho has completed his Refugee Welcome Poster. Well done Harry. You are working so hard. yes yes

Today's Work:

Look back at Monday's blog to see a suggested timetable for today. All activities are explained and activity sheets are attached to Monday's blog.

Here are the answers from yesterday's riddles:

1) What building has thousands of stories? A Library

2) What belongs to you, but is used more by others? Your name

Here are the last 2 riddles of the week:

1) What goes up but never comes down?

2) The more of this there is - the less you see. What is it?

If you know the answers, send them in to me on our class blog.

Finally, I want to say how much I enjoyed talking to Addie, Joseph and Harrison yesterday. I did try a few more of you, but no-one answered. I'm teaching today, so I won't have time to ring. I will ring again next week to speak to some more of you.

Take Care. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
