National Book Token Competition
Date: 12th May 2020 @ 12:13pm
Good morning everybody!
The National Book Tokens website is running a competition for children to design new artwork for National Book Token gift cards. As reading is such an important part of our school day at St Mary’s, with everyone spending time reading books they enjoy before lunch, I thought this competition might be perfect for some of you to have a go at.
If you would like to enter you need to create a fabulous National Book Token design, if your design is chosen as one of the winners you could return to school with National Book Tokens for all! You could win a £10 National Book Token for yourself and for each of your classmates – what a surprise would that be when school reopens?!
The National Book Tokens organisation will be choosing one child's design to put on a National Book Tokens gift card every week for seven weeks.
There are no rules as to what you can draw! It could be the school crest doodled in ink, a pencil drawing of your entire class, or something linked to your favourite book or author. This is the ideal challenge to combine your love of reading with your creative flair!
All entries should be produced on A4 paper using the printable template I have attached to this blog. If you do not have access to a printer and/or scanner, you can take a photo of the artwork and use the editable form on the website instead.
The competition is open from Wednesday 6th May and the closing date for entries is Sunday 28th June 2020.

Make sure to talk to an adult and get permission before entering any competitions!
Happy designing and good luck!
