Miss Wood's blog: week three

Date: 9th Mar 2018 @ 4:24pm

Hello! Week three! The weeks are flying by!

R.E.

This week, we looked at the Eucharistic prayer and discussed its links with the Last Supper. Next week, we will move on to our Easter and Lent topic.

Geography

On Thursday afternoon, the children enjoyed looking at different maps to find out about the world. We looked at local maps of St Helens, Widnes, Warrington, Runcorn and Liverpool. We then explored maps of Cornwall, The Lake District, The Peak District and Spain. It was so interesting to use the key to locate famous landmarks and the many places that we have been learning about! We found our school! The children had fun recognising the symbols and understanding how a key works. As an activity, they then sketched a map of Billinge with a key. Here are some pictures!

On Friday afternoon, we finished off our Mother's Day cards. All of the children have written lovely, thoughtful cards.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Thanks!
