Good Morning Year 3
I can't believe that it is July 1st already. Did you have a good day yesterday? Did you work hard?
I'm going to start the today's blog with some SHOUT OUTS:
Firstly - shout out to Harriet for her fantastic History work below. Harriet researched into VE Day for her famous historical event. If you've completed your History work - send them in via the school's email so that I can share it with everyone else.
Next shout out goes to Harriet, Harry and Liam for completing the Symmetry 2Do on Purple Mash - well done children
Final shout out goes to Liam, Heidi, Annabel, Evan and Jacob R who are now all in the top 50 on the school's Rock Stars Leader Board. All 5 children are now answering questions in under 5 seconds. Liam is number 36 on the board - average time of 3.26 seconds a question; Heidi is closely behind at number 38 with a time of 3.43 seconds; Annabel is just on Heidi' s tail at number 39 on the board with a time of 3.49 seconds. Evan is lying at number 46 on the leader board with a time of 4.26 seconds and then Jacob is at number 48 with a time of 4.62 seconds.
These times are great children - in Y4 your aim is to answer all questions in under 6 seconds. You are there already. Keep going and you'll ace the times tables check at the end of Y4 Knowing your tables so well will also help you lots with Y4 maths.
Remember that all of your work is listed on Monday's blog and the activity sheets are also attached.
I'll be in touch tomorrow - but remember:
- try to read everyday or complete the reading comprehension task
- times tables every day
- try to learn 2 spellings a day from the attached list
- try to complete some Maths and English every day - either from the booklet or from the attached symmetry tasks
- choose something fun for the afternoon - there are lots of art activities to choose from this week
Take Care Everyone
