Around the World in 80 Minutes

Date: 20th Jun 2017 @ 11:38am

What a lovely time we are all having this week exploring the food, art, dance, music, customs and cultures from seven different countries across six continents. Yesterday I managed to travel around the world in only 80 minutes - sampling pancakes from the USA; watching a bit of Kung Fu Dancing from Japan; the Hakka from Australia/New Zealand and learning some interesting facts all about Kenya as I went.

Today I've visited India where the children are busy with their Rangoli art work; Japan where the children are exploring the work of the artist Takashi Murakami; seen rainmakers being made in Australia and Carnival masks in Brazil. I even managed to have a paddle in a pool in Spain. The children enjoyed pouring water over my feet and it definitely cooled me downsmiley One Reception child did say that I had far too much work to do to be paddling !

I am really looking forward to tomorrow when I will hopefully get the chance to play several different musical instruments and I can't wait to see how colourful our children will look tomorrow when they come to school dressed in the colours of their country.
