Year 4 Blog WC 18-04-22

It has been a busy first week back in Year 4.

We started a new RE topic - New Life. This topic focuses on Pentecost and the importance of the Holy Spirit. This week we explored what new life means to us and then discovered how Peter and John continued to spread the God News even when people told them not to.

We began our new topic - Water, Water Everywhere. We explored why water is so important for life on Earth and learnt about the differences between solids, liquids and gases.

In English we started reading The Water Horse, our class reading book, and in writing lessons we were inspired by the picture book Flotsam to create a backstory for a character.

In Maths we began our decimals topic. In art we learnt about Claude Monet who is the artist we will be inspired by this term.
