This week we have celebrated Anti-bullying week by dressing up in an odd way on Tuesday to celebrate our uniqueness. We took part in a live BBC lesson all about bullying and discussed what bullying is, why it might happen and what we should do if we witness bullying. We then created anti-bullying posters.

In RE, we have been learning about Judaism. We learnt about the Torah, a holy book in Judaism and how it is always hand-written by a sofer. The Torah is a very special book for Jewish people and is read 3 times a week in the synagogue. When reading the Torah a yad is used, so thet it is not damaged by poeple's hand. We then read the story of Moses and the burning bush and discussed how this shows God's love for his people as he did not want them to be slaves.

In English, the children have used their knowledge of teeth to write some fantastic explanation texts. In science we have learnt about the journey food takes through our digestive systems. We have learnt about the different jobs of the organs in our digestive system and we then watched an 'Operation Ouch' which saw a doctor swallow a pill camera. This allowed us to see what the inside of our stomachs and intestines look like! It was very interesting!

On Tuesday, we set up a science experiment to discover which liquid would cause the most decay to teeth. We are using egg shells to represent teeth as we discovered they are made of similar things. Each day different children are observing the egg shells to see how the different liquids effect them. There have already been some big changes - I wonder what they will look like after the weekend?

Reminder:

Pleas remember to bring flutes into school on Tuesday's for the weekly music lesson.
