World Book Day 2020

World Book Day 2020- Share a million stories!

This World Book Day, we were given the option of dressing up as a character from a book, or we could come to school dressed in our pyjamas. Throughout the day, we completed some fun activities relating to books: we completed a book review; we wrote about who we like to share books with and why; we designed a bookmark as part of a class competition and finally, we held our own class book swap, where we brought in a book and swapped with someone else. 

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we were asked to decorate a potato as a book character. Year 6 made some fantastic potatoes inspired by some of our favourite stories. These were brought to our assembly at the end of the day and each class chose a winner. In Year 6, our winner was Isobel. Her potato creation was based on Charlotte's web and was extremely creative!
