Whittle Cup 2019

On Wednesday a group of KS2 children represented St Mary’s in the Whittle Cup touch rugby competition with 20 other schools. The competition is run by Saints Foundation to promote rugby league in the local community.

All the children were fantastic and they all gave a hundred percent. We got through to the semi-finals, but were beaten by Leigh Vale (the overall winners) by 3 tries.

Thank you to all the parents who helped with lifts and came to support us on the day. With an extra special thank you to Mr Glover who coached the team.

Well done to the whole team. St Mary’s and Mrs Cotterill are very proud of you!
