WC 2nd October

Date: 4th Oct 2017 @ 4:57pm

This term is just flying by!

It was National Poetry Day last Thursday and we have all been learning to recite, "The Owl and the Pussycat" by Edward Lear.  We have enjoyed finding the rhyme and repetition in the poem and talking about the unusual words.  Lexie impressed us all with her knowledge.  We are looking forward to performing our poem in front of the whole school on Thursday afternoon.  In our writing lessons we have written a "message in a bottle" in the form of a poem - this was quite a challenge but we all had a really good go!

We planned our own Collective Worship in class this week, this was to celebrate all our learning in our "Beginnings" topic.  We worked in groups to share our ideas and suggestions for what we could to make our worship special.

We are coming to the end of our topic on Place Value and Properties of number.  We have all completed our first assessments and have worked really hard.  Our next unit of work is on addition and subtraction.

See you all next week.
