Hello everyone,

We've had a fun week in Y2.  Rehearsals are well underway for our Nativity, we have been trying on our costumes and we have been busy making gifts for our Annual Christmas Fayre on Friday.

Come and See

We have come to the end of our "Signs and Symbols" topic in Religious Education.  We enjoyed our Collective Worships this week where our focus was on Baptism and Welcome.  We enjoyed matching words and phrases with pictures and lots of us can explain the symbols used in Baptism.  Next week we begin our Advent topic and we are already feeling quite festive. (Is it too soon to be feeling like this?)

Literacy

We edited and improved our Remorseful Rat and Vengeful Rat letters.  Look at the photos of Mrs O'Donoghue and Mrs Talbot-Davies in the Hot Seat! Next task is to write a Newspaper Report detailing the Rat's crimes!

Numeracy

We are really improving with our mental addition strategies and some of us are getting quite fast at adding two, 2 digit numbers.  We are moving onto subtraction now.

Topic Work

We have been sequencing the story of the Gunpowder Plot and then in Computing we used the Microsoft Word Program to write a report.
