Tuesday 9th June

Date: 8th Jun 2020 @ 3:46pm

Good morning, everyone!

Happy Tuesday to you all. I hope you enjoyed National Best Friend Day yesterday; we certainly did in school. I was pleased to receive an email from Beau showing me how hard he had been working on friendship-related tasks. Here is a picture of a poster he designed all about friendship.

In school, we completed some different activities that were really fun: we made friendship bracelets, designed cards for our best friends and made a Tagxedo using words we thought related well to friendship. Here are a few photographs of our creations.

Now, today is a new day and it is a good reason to start the day with some exercise. Why not complete a Joe Wicks PE lesson, or dance with Oti Mabuse? Get your blood pumping, get yourselves out of breath a little and it will help your brain to retain much more of your learning. yes

Today, BBC Bitesize lessons look really fun. Here is a breakdown of what is on offer for you today...

Maths - forming expressions and understanding algebraic conventions

Literacy - direct and reported speech

Geography - the Alps

I would love it if you could email in with something you've learnt about the Alps! Maybe I will share some fascinating facts on the blog tomorrow. surprise

Don't forget, you also have your home learning booklet to work from- we are going to be working on Tuesday's activities at school today, so why not join us from home? If you fancy some more challenging maths, remember that White Rose Maths are holding maths parties every day. Give them a go!

I hope you are all well and keeping safe. In school, we are learning the proper technique for hand washing and will be designing guides to help younger children over the next couple of days. I might post some on the blog later on in the week so you can see how hard we are working. You are also more than welcome to join us in this task by watching the NHS handwashing video on YouTube and creating a step by step guide to washing your hands. I'd love to see them!yes
