Thursday 7th May Blog Week 5

Date: 6th May 2020 @ 5:23pm

Good morning everybody!

I hope we are all up and about and enjoying the lovely weather this morning?

It is Thursday, and we are officially more than half-way through the week!:)

Today is also a special day, and I know how excited they both are, so I'm sure you will all wish a GREAT BIG

to Dylan and Lucy S, who are both 10 today!!

It is a shame we can't share this special day with you in school, but at least you both have your loved ones at home to celebrate with and I am sure you will both have an amazing day!

Oh and before I forget, you two- somebody has a message for you both from Twitter. (I'll give you a clue- it is an author of one of the books we have read in class) have a look:

I sent him a tweet and was really lucky that he replied!

Have a fantastic day, both of you!

So, I'm not sure what you lot are up to today, but I need to crack on with my VE Day decorations.

(Radley chewed up some of them so I had to start again!) :/

Here are some work ideas for you today:

BBC BITESIZE:

Maths: Perimeter

Literacy: Reading- 'Tell me no lies' by Malorie Blackman

Computing: Algorithms and Debugging

If you want some more Geography, I thought of an exciting way of seeing more of Brazil:

GOOGLE MAPS!

If you find Google Maps and type in a place in 'Brazil'- you could look at  a city, town, stadium, national park, anything! When you search, on the right of the screen you will see a little yellow man near the + and - buttons to zoom in. Pick him up, and drop him somewhere on the map, and you can explore these places in street view!

Here are some places you could look at:

- Maracana stadium

-Iguazu Falls

-Manaus

-Sao Paulo

-Boa Vista

-Salvador

-Rio de Janeiro

There are many more- so get exploring!

Anyway children, that is all from me today.

Keep up those super blogs- I'm really enjoying reading them, and commenting on as many as I can!

TT Rockstars scores are doing amazingly, so keep going with that, too!

Remember to go out and enjoy the sunshine at some point, too!

Write to you all tomorrow!

Miss  Davies :)
