The day after the night before
Date: 14th Dec 2017 @ 2:47pm
Hello everyone,
Well what a day yesterday was! The children arrived in school very excited about the day. It took us ages to do the register and the dinners as nobody was really interested in anything other than the play.
First of all we had to take all the junior class chairs to the hall to prepare it for the play. Chaos or what! So back upstiars we had nothing to sit on with 31 hyperactive children! A dvd was called for in an attempt to 'keep them down'.
After lunch we started to get them changed and painted on beards and tashes for whoever wanted one! I had to draw the line when Lucy C, aka, Mary requested a beard!!
Wigs were donned and the time had arrived for our first performance of the day!
Everything went swimmingly, despite our nerves, and the children were really amazing.
However, it's the evening performance that they look forward to most as more parents are able to come to that show. The hall, as usual, was at least 45 degrees and six foot men were making like contortionists in an attempt to fit into our chairs - but once again the kids pulled it out of the bag and I'm sure you'll agree that they were absolutely fantastic!! We had lots of positive comments about the children and the show in general and we would like to thank you all for your continued support.
We've attached some photographs taken backstage for you to look at. Hope you like them!
