Our new topic!

RE 

We have moved on to our Called topic. Everyone is chosen at some time or another. People are chosen for different things at different times and people are chosen for different reasons. We thought about our own experiences and listened to stories about times that we have been called to take part in something. We planned a collective worship as a class and gathered to reflect. 

Burps, bottoms and bile! 

This week we started our new topic. Miss Wood hid the topic key words around the classroom for us to find. Then we tried to work out what we would be learning about. We knew that some of the key words were body parts and after disucssing with eachother, we knew it was all about digestion! We watched an interesting video showing the process and labelled a diagram of the system. Our body is amazing! 

This topic we will also look at the different types of teeth. 

Maths 

This week we have focused on division and we use the 'bus stop' method in Year Four. We answered word problems involving division and Miss Wood was very impressed with our problem solving skills. 

Literacy 

We looked at the features of an explanation text and then started to write our own all about the digestive system and how it works.
