New Year New Topics

Date: 14th Jan 2022 @ 4:31pm

Hello Everyone,

The children have all settled back into school after a lovely Christmas, new year and good rest with their families. They have loved seeing their friends again and have enjoyed getting involved in our new learning.  We have been really impressed with how they have got straight down to lessons and how their bahaviour for learning has improved since the start of the year.

Our overall new topic is 'The Great Fire of London' which, as the title suggests, is history based and the children are absolutely loving it!  I am sure they will have already been telling you lots of interesting facts about the disaster.  Linked to this topic is our science topic of 'Everyday Materials' where the children are learning about materials and their properties.  Once the children have learnt all about different materials and their properties, they will compare the materials from which houses were made four hundred years ago with the materials that houses are built from now.  In Come and See, we have also started learning about our new topic of 'Special People' which focuses on the parish family and the Church.

See you again on Monday!

Love from Mrs Duffy xx
