Last week of term 1!

Date: 18th Oct 2018 @ 3:17pm

Hi everyone,

Well we've all had a lovely half term in school and have worked really hard.  This last couple of weeks have been very busy, as usual.

Other Faiths

As part of our Other Faiths celebrations we have been learning about the Jewish and Hindu Faiths.  We were very excited to welcome into school a lady called Priti Mistry who visited each class and spoke about her Hindu Faith.  She showed us a lovely book which she had written herself, a beautifully illustrated book all about the different aspects of this fascinating faith.

We visited Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Tuesday afternoon and had a really exciting fun-filled few hours.  We learnt lots of important facts about the airport and safety whilst travelling.  It was a fanstastic finish to our topic "Passport to the World."  We even had our own passports stamped just like Gregory in "Gregory Cool."

Today we had our sponsored spell.  The children did extremly well - considering it was double spellings this week as we had our usual spelling rule words to learn as well!  I am so proud of you all and thank you to the money you have raised for this event.

Its Halloween Disco tonight and those of us lucky to have tickets are incredibly excited about this!

Remember everyone - on the first day back it is optional "Heroes and Villains" costume day when you can come to school as your favourite hero or villain.  The children have been coming up with some interesting ideas about what makes someone heroic or villainous.   I am really looking forward to starting this topic next term.

A big shout out to all those children who have been awarded a bucket filling certificate this term  - Max, Tyler, Jacob, Adelaide and Molly.

Wishing you all a lovely half term break.
