Good morning Reception smiley

How are you feeling today? I hope you're all feeling fantastic!!

Special Sound Of The Day

Rosie and Fred are back again today, with new sounds for you to practise. Visit the youtube channel to find out which sound you can impress your grown up with today. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ?pbjreload=10

Number of the day

Can you learn about the number 16? What do you already know about 16? Can you practise writing 16? If you like you can watch this episode of 'Numberblocks' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuzRI6CXdLg. This will help you learn about the number 16.

I bet you know what I'm going to ask you to do next! Can you seperate 16 objects into 2 groups. Can you make a group of 10 and a group of 6? (16 is 10 and 6).

Dinosaur Time

I have found a lovely poem about a 'Cake-o-saurus'. When you listen to it, can you hear any rhyming words.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZDTblrzw-o

Can you think of some other rhyming words? What was your favourite part of the poem? Can you bake a dinosaur cake? What would you call it?  I would love to hear all about it, if you do bake one.

You could draw a picture and design your cak-o- saurus. You could write his name or even write a sentence to decsribe what it will look like, smell like or taste like.

You could count how many horns or spikes or teeth it could have.  The possibilites are endless smiley

Has anybody managed to build a nest for an egg yet? I have attached a powerpoint that explains all about the life cycle of a chicken. If you get time, take a look. Do you think your nest could keep an egg safe?

Enjoy your day Reception, have lots of fun! I will write to you all tomorrow.

Take care heart
