First Communion

What a lovely day we all had yesterday celebrating our children's First Holy Communion with them. The girls all looked beautiful in their lovely dresses and the boys were very smart. The children read and sang beautifully and were a credit to their families and school.

Lots of big thank-yous to say. First a big thank-you to the children from the school choir and Mrs Taylor and Miss Davies who gave up their Saturday morning to sing at the Communion Mass. Choir you sounded lovely and Mrs Taylor and Miss Davies - you weren't too bad either 

Thank you also to Mr. Twist, Mrs Hrabowenskyj and Mrs Talbot-Davies who gave up their Saturday morning too. I don't know about the rest of the staff, but it's been a long time since I was up at 6 o'clock on a Saturday morning! 

Another thank-you has to go to Fr. Bernard for leading our Communion celebrations and to the ladies in the parish who arranged our flowers so beautifully.

A final thank-you to Halle's mum who very kindly brought along her 'Sweet Cart' to the Communion celebration and all of the children were able to fill a cup with a sweet or two or three. I even managed to sample a few of the tasty treats for myself

We will cut the Communion cake in class on Monday, so that you can all take a piece of cake home with you. Girls don't forget to collect your medals.
