Fantastic Footballers

I had the absolute pleasure of watching our Y5/Y6 boys' football team play their first match against St.Aidan's Primary School on Friday evening. The boys were fantastic - beating St. Aidan's 5-0. What a magnificent start to their league campaign!

A big shout out to Shay, Aaron, Harry HJ, Joseph, Haydn, Ethan, Sean, Joshua, Jacob and Liam. On what was an extremely hot evening you ran your legs off boys and played with great spirit and determination. I couldn't have been more proud of you. 

A special mention to Jacob (in goal) for keeping a clean sheet and a big well done to Aaron who was my 'Man of the Match' for this week. I would also like to thank Mr Twist for giving his time up to train the boys and to Mrs Hrabowenskyj for her valuable insights into the game (Not!) She still clearly has lots to learn about our national sport! A final thank you to all of our families (and Mr McMinn) who came along to support the boys.
