A different start to the Spring Term!

Date: 10th Jan 2021 @ 12:29pm

Hello everyone,

I was so disappointed not to be able to welcome you all back into school on Tuesday morning as another lockdown started. However as always you have blown me away with your hard work, effort and positivity this past week.  There have been a few teething problems with all the Home Learning, but as I can see most of you are just trying your best and making the best out of a difficult situation. The children who have been in school have worked very hard and have displayed excellent behaviour for learning.

Next week might bring a few more challenges as we try to connect those of you learning from home with those of us learning in school.  I am hoping to see you each morning for the Letters and Sounds group sessions.  There were a few difficulties last week with children not sure which spellings to download.  Hopefully this will be sorted when you join us on Microsoft Teams tomorrow, (Monday)  but if you would like to call in school for a paper copy of this term's spellings just give the office a ring and I will leave a copy in there.

Next week you will not need to print out the worksheets for the maths as paper copies were available for collection from the office last Friday.  There will be no copies upoloaded to the Home Learning page just the videos.  Hopefully this will make it a little easier.  Also on Tuesday and Wednesday the Literacy Lessons will be uploaded videos to watch with no print out, so again this should make things a little easier for those of you with printing problems.

For everyone - at home and in school - there are some new Education Cities Homeworks to complete and a 2Do on PurpleMash, these will be available from the 11th January.  As always they are optional.

I cannot wait to welcome you all back into school, in the meantime, stay safe and healthy and just try your best.  Keep up your reading and stay active and take care.
