29th April Home School

Date: 29th Apr 2020 @ 8:17am

Good morning everyone,

It has been lovely chatting to you on the phone this week. Hopefully I will have managed to speak to you all by the end of the week.  Listen out for that phone ringing  - it might be me!  I am very proud of you all for trying so hard at home and being the best you can be!

I’ve added a 2Create A Story for your 2Do. Why not make up a story about your life in Home School.?  Well done to those of you who have already made a start with this.  I loved reading them when I got home yesterday.

Last week I set some 2Dos and some MYCities (Homework) which will help you to learn to tell the time.  I have set up some new 2Dos for this week, but make sure you complete last week’s ones first as this week it is learning to tell the time in 5 minute intervals and they are much trickier.  There has been a problem with the 2Dos this week, so don’t worry if you have not been able to see them or see my comments.  I think it is back up and running now.

The maths on BBC Bitesize Daily this week is all about money. You could make up your own shop using all your toys and give them all prices and ask your grown ups to buy items from your shop. The literacy today is writing a min-beast fact file. I’ll bet there are loads of mini beasts out in the garden after the rain we’ve just had.  The science today is all about materials and their properties which you have covered with Mrs Ryan so you might want to try this.

For those of you following the excellent White Rose Maths Home learning this week’s focus is comparing length.

Finally for something a little different for those children who love music and song. If you visit www.outoftheark.com  (ask a grown up) there are some great songs and activities free for you to try at home.  These songs are written by the people who we use for our Easter and Christmas celebrations, so grown ups be warned they are very catchy!

Happy home learning
